Dynamic Web Fragment Architecture

This paper gives the details of a web caching architecture which uses ESI and web document fragments to improve the behavior of the web pages from a performance point of view. As the performance of the web page that use fragments depends on the state and parameters fixed in running time, the design of the fragments has to be dynamic and alterable at that phase. The fragment design of web pages could be change dynamically applying operations over the web documents fragments, the operations to apply will be determined using ontologies and a reasoner to analysis the behavior of the users and web server tiers for each fragment design. Changing web pages fragment design at running time generates integrations problems with the existing web applications which are not able to provide these fragments. The reutilization of the existing web applications will depend on the capacity to adapt them to an scenario where code fragment execution will be provided.
